  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    StanleyOG.

This is wrong, but the only thing that comes to mind is the 1921 naval uprising at Kronstadt. That or the rebellion on the battleship Potemkin (of course, this happened in 1905 and so is incorrect as well). Good question!

There were, of course, mass desertions and mutinies on the front during WWI, as Pasternak documents in his novel Doctor Zhivago . I don't know of any specific examples, though.

Do y'all give up? If you do I'll answer it, but you must hand over all power to make a new question to me forthwith, and that power shall stay mine until someone answers one of my questions correctly. Agreed?

The Imperial Guard or The Imperial Army. You can decide. Not soldiers originally on the communist side, because then it would not be dissention; merely conformity.

The answer is in a paper which I am writing tonight, but I don't want to post it for fear that my professor will search the web by entering my essay into a search function (checking for plagiarism) and wind up here. If you like, I will PM it to you and Piggit on the grounds that you don't post it in the forums.

You have the choice to write an answer to either of these questions. You have full reign over the sources you can use (the internet) so I expect complete, knowledgeable answers with a stated thesis argument and strong argumentation:

    A) Was the 'Dead Ball' era in baseball more a result of economic, sociocultural, or political changes? Explain.

    B) Babe Ruth is usually credited with bringing an end to the Dead Ball era. Is this true? Why or why not?

None of the above. The dead ball era refers to a period when games didn't have high scores due to strategies being ineffective.

Babe Ruth emerged as a power hitter, and the days of low-scoring games became a thing of the past with free-swinging batters.

If I were grading you I'd give you a D+ for those answers because,

    A) On the contrary, the only strategies that were ineffective were those of the hitters. The Dead Ball era saw a rise in pitcher versatility and effectiveness, throwing pitches that batters were not used to yet. A booming economy typified by the robber barrons of the day afforded teams advances in technology for their gear. Fielders improved in catching. New, larger stadiums were built that limited the number of home runs. Also known about the Dead Ball era was the spike in game violence. Players (especially Ty Cobb) were known to intentionally hurt each other during games. This could be the result of baseball players being increasingly lower class due to changes in recriuting and managerial strategy. The game at it was in much of the 19th century was played by middle class white bourgeois who considered it a 'gentleman's game.'

    B) You are forgetting influences such as World War I and the resulting economic boom for America. Also, in 1910 or thereabouts, the cork-center ball was invented, which flew farther. Also, it could be argued that the Dead Ball era had ended while Ruth was still a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox, as home run and hit stats are seen to have a sharp increase around 1913.

But I'll let you have it anyway ;).

I bequeath the power of questions to whoever wants it. I have been drinking too many energy drinks. Makes me smart though! Makes my mind expand.

If you were my professor, I'd have to offer you blowjobs and more just to get a decent grade, wouldn't I?

Thanks for being generous. Now let me just get up off of my knees...

Since Piggit didn't follow up with a question I will.

What is the difference between a vitamin and a hormone?

Your body produces hormones naturally (melatonin, dopamine, etc...), but you have to intake vitamins (food).

Perv has not said whether I was right or wrong. So... I'm just gonna assume I can ask a question now.

What was the cassus belli of the Great Northern War and how did it change the power structure in Europe?
